David B. Levy, is the Director of Animation for Disney+, where he leads a team producing and developing short-form content for social media. Prior to joining Disney, Levy worked as an award-winning animation director, helming episodes for Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues and Blue's Room, the Sesame Workshop's, Pinky Dinky Doo, Cartoon Network's Adult Swim series, Assy McGee, dozens of shorts for PBS Kids' The Electric Company and Sesame Workshop's Word on the Street iTunes podcast, pilots for Fox Broadcasting Company (Bob's Burgers), Disney Jr, and Nat Geo Kids.

In addition to his industry directing experience, has also been engaged as a script writer by major media companies such as Garan, Inc., and Classic Media to create animated projects based on existing properties. In 2007, Levy signed a development deal with The Disney Channel for his preschool series creation Fiona Finds Out.

As an independent filmmaker, Levy is the creator of many successful animated shorts, including Good Morning, a collaboration with Robert M. Charde, that is a youtube and film festival sensation. His subsequent shorts Grandpa Looked Like William Powell and Turning a Corner premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival. Levy has lectured and taught at Parsons, SVA, NYU, RISD, and Pratt, and was president of the New York chapter of ASIFA (Association International du Film d' Animation).

Levy is currently updating his book "Your Career in Animation: How to Survive and Thrive (Skyhorse Publishing). He lives in LA, California with his wife and daughter.
