Graphics Art Director of Toy Story 4 | USA


Craig Foster joined Pixar Animation Studios in July 2004 as a graphic designer on The Incredibles. He has worked on nearly every feature film since including the Academy Award©-winning Ratatouille, WALL•E, Up, Toy Story 3, Inside Out and *Coco. He has also created graphics for multiple short film projects including Mater and the Ghostlight, Your Friend the Rat, Cars Toons, Riley's First Date?, LAVA, and Sanjay’s Super Team, as well as several Pixar Co-Op short films including The Dam Keeper and Borrowed Time.

Foster took on the role as Art Director – Graphic Design for the Pixar features Toy Story 3, Monsters University,” Inside Out, Finding Dory and Cars 3 and is stepping back into the Toy Story world as Art Director, overseeing all graphic design for the upcoming feature film Toy Story 4, which was released in theaters in Summer 2019.

In his role as art director, Foster works with a team of designers to create graphics that appear throughout the film to support the story and help add authenticity to the film.

Prior to Pixar, Foster was an After Effects artist at Wild Brain Studios, worked on several live-action feature films, animated and designed for video games, and as a designer/illustrator for various print productions and advertising agencies.

Raised in Eureka, Kansas and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Foster earned a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He currently resides in the wilds of Fairfax, CA. with his wife Adrienne and their ever evolving cast of rescue animals, deer, coyotes, and bobcats.
