Creative Director at Square Enix Montréal

Teddy Dief is a videogame designer and writer, now Creative Director at Square Enix Montréal. Formerly a designer at Disney and game narrative researcher at USC, he went on to develop award-winning RPG Hyper Light Drifter and Fitz Packerton as independent collaborations. He is co-founder of Los Angeles collective Glitch City - a hub for the indie gamemaking community. He has hosted and produced events such as the Square Bowl charity livestream, IndieCade Innovation Awards, and Idle Thumbs’ Playscape podcast.

He has spoken on gamemaking and storytelling at the Game Developers Conference, GDC China, and IndieCade. His work has been covered by Wired, Vice, The Verge, Forbes, The Escapist, The A.V. Club, The Guardian, Game Informer, Polygon, Kotaku and more.
