ALEJANDRA GÁMEZ

Comic books writer and artist

Graduated from the biology degree at National University (UNAM), Alejandra is a fully self-taught illustrator. Since 2012 she has written and drawn short stories and comic strips for the webcomic "The Mountain With Teeth", which is frequently.

She has done illustrations for the magazine Eres Niños, as well as for the digital magazine "Penumbria", in which she has also participated writing stories for children; One of them, was also published in the first printed anthology of the magazine "Penumbria year 1".

Her comic work has appeared in several independent magazines, as well as other illustrations for stories (side B, VozEd Magazine, Sci-fi terror, etc).

In 2017 she launched a crowdfunding campaign in Kickstarter for the publication of her third compilation book, and reached the goal in just a few hours. At the end of the campaign she raised almost five times the original amount she requested.
