About the Director:

Carlos Carrera is a Mexican director, screenwriter and animator, winner of La Palma de Oro in Cannes for his animated short film El Héroe (1994), four-time Ariel Award winner (Mexican Acadamy of Films Award), and Oscar nominee for best foreign film for El Crime del padre Amaro (The Crime of Father Amaro), which was also the highest grossing Mexican film for eleven years. Ana and Bruno is his first animated feature film.
