About the Director:

Carlos Saldanha is a Brazilian animation filmaker internationally recognized for the successful animated Blue Sky Studios franchise Rio, which follows the adventures of a blue macaw and its owners, and that is set in Saldanha’s native country. In addition to the two films in the series Rio, Saldanha also directed Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009) and Ferdinand (2017), and he co-directed Ice Age (2002) and Robots (2005).
