Tomoyasu Murata is a prominent Japanese creator who does stop motion animation with puppets, inspired by the traditional Japanese puppet theater, called Bunraku. He employs puppet animation in an expressive way, searching the viewers experience them not only with their eyes and ears, but even through the sense of touch.

In this edition of El Festival, we will present a program with some of his best works. (All are produced in Japan)
