José Carlos es socio fundador y vicepresidente ejecutivo de Ánima, el estudio de animación líder en Latinoamérica. Es el responsable de las operaciones del estudio, incluyendo desarrollo creativo, producción, mercadotecnia, legal, ventas y nuevos negocios. José Carlos is a founding partner and executive vice president of Ánima Estudios, the leading animation studio in Latin America. He is responsible for the operation of the studio, including creative development, production, marketing, legal issues, sales and new business.

He is the executive producer of several television series, including El Chavo , an animated series that has broken audience records throughout Latin America; Las Leyendas , the first original Netflix series produced in Latin America; as well as a new Disney project currently in production.

He has been the producer and / or executive producer of 14 animated feature films including Guardians of Oz , Kung Fu Magoo and Don Gato and his gang , as well as of the films of the Las Vegas saga. Legends, which have enjoyed enormous success in theaters.
