Sofía Carrillo

Director, Animator and Screenwriter - Mexico

A graduate of the Bachelor of Audiovisual Arts at the University of Guadalajara, she is part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2018 (AMPAS, Short Film and Feature Animated), as well as the National System of Creators (Mexico) since 2017.

She was the Director and Animator of the animated cartoons for the Anthology of Terror "XX Pasión por el Terror" directed by Jovanka Vuckovic, Annie Clark, Roxanne Benjamin and Karin Kusama (Magnolia Pictures 2017).

She was the Director, Screenwriter and Animator of Cerulia (2017), short film winner of the Ariel (Mexican Academy Award) for best animated short film in 2018, among many other prizes.
