Inspired and influenced by seeing such modern day classics as Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King as a young girl, Donna Lee’s lifelong passion for animation has led her to become a top story artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios with a credit on major the upcoming Frozen 2..

Born and raised in Chicago, she studied film, animation and video production at Rhode Island School of Design before making her way to Los Angeles to pursue her creative dreams. Along the way, she discovered a talent and love for storyboarding, and worked at DreamWorks, Paramount and Disneytoon Studios before joining Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2017.

As a Disney story artist, Donna helps to craft the director’s vision for the story, and transform the script into storyboards.

She lives in Southern California with her spouse and pet cockatiel.
