CARLO OLIVARES PAGANONI


Writer, Producer, Director at Disney XD | Mexico / USA

Originally from Cuernavaca, Mexico, Carlo studied at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) where he obtained a BA in Marketing. He also studied Screenwriting for two years at UCLA and later attended Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, where he graduated with an MFA in Film.

His thesis short film "Cardboard Camera" won a student Emmy®.

Previously, Carlo moved to the U.S. in 2000 to work for Cartoon Network and was also executive producer of Santo Contra Los Clones, based on the legendary Silver Masked Wrestler.

Now, as On-Air Writer/Producer for Disney XD, Carlo writes and produces promo campaigns for Star Wars Rebels, The New Yoda Chronicles and Hispanic Heritage Month’s Súper Chico.

As a creative, his work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, The One Show, Art Directors Club, The New York Festivals, FIAP, HOW, Ad Age Hispanic Awards, Círculo de Oro México, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, LIMA Licensing Awards, Promax Latin America & Promax BDA.

As a director, his work has been recognized by several film festivals including, LA Shorts Fest, Cortos de Yahoo on “Yahoo en Español” and San Diego Latino Film Festival.

Carlo lives in Los Angeles, CA.
