A judicial thriller that takes us into a fascinating visual universe where Sabogal, lawyer and human rights defender, investigates several crimes against humanity in modern Colombia. With the country in crisis, the protagonist is in constant danger and fights relentlessly, almost obsessively, for justice.


About the directors:

Juan José Lozano Juan José Lozano is a Colombian writer and filmmaker, living between Geneva and Bogota. His feature length films –like as IMPUNITY, UNWANTED WITNESS, CRIME HUNTERS or UNTIL THE LAST STONE–, which deal with specific issues related to human rights, justice and impunity were selected and awarded in prestigious film festivals around the world (Toronto, Rotterdam, Locarno, Amsterdam, Sarajevo, La Havana...). They were co-produced and distributed in Europe and the Americas in collaboration with RTS - Swiss Television; ARTE; Al-Jazeera; Icarus Films; Autlook Films and public television in Colombia. His latest film SABOGAL, co-directed with animation filmmaker Sergio Mejía, was recently selected in international competition Annecy Film Festival, 2015.

Sergio Mejía Forero Colombian photographer and CG animator, studied film at the National University of Colombia, character animation in Image Campus in Buenos Aires (Argentina), and AnymationGym (Uruguay). Early in his career he directed many documentaries and worked as a 3D animator for various public television programs. He has worked as a cinematographer in several international documentaries and live action short films. Currently, Mejia is the director of 3da2 Animation Studio in Bogota. Since 2007 he has written and directed ten short films. One is Animalario (2012), official selection at over thirty international animation festivals, including Hiroshima and Animamundi among others.
