Carolina López Caballero

Directora Animac y Comisaria Del Trazo al Píxel – España

Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, and Bachelor of Animation Film from the West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham (England). For ten years Carolina has been the director of Xcèntric Cinema in CCCB (Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona), and she is the director of Animac Lleida, the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia.

She has curated several exhibitions, including Del trazo al pixxel, more than one hundred years of Spanish animation, a film series co-produced by Acción Cultural Española and CCCB, which premiered in Annecy and that has been screened at 30 venues in Europe, Asia and America, including the MoMA... And that this year will be screened at Pixelatl!

Carolina has been the programmer in several festivals like Sitges, ArtFutura and MACBA (Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona), and she has been part of international juries for film festivals.

Currently she is also a consultant in the creation of two new animation events in Mexico y Spain.
