Iván Miñambres

After finishing his studies of Audiovisual Realization, his professional beginnings took place in the field of postproduction and advertising realization. In 2009, he founded UniKo, a production company located in Bilbao and specialized in the fields of advertising and animation. Iván has developed more than 500 advertising projects, and his productions have garnered over 140 international awards at prestigious festivals such as Annecy, Chicago, ReAnimania, or Foyle. His projects include animated short films such as Birdboy (Alberto Vázquez and Pedro Rivero), Sangre de Unicornio (Alberto Vázquez), Viaje a Pies (Khris Cembe), Contact (Alessandro Novelli) and Decorado (Alberto Vázquez), which premiered at the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes and received the Goya Award for Best Animation Short Film in the 2017 edition. In UniKo Iván has participated in the production and coordinated the posproduction of the feature film Psiconautas, los niños olvidados (Alberto Vázquez and Pedro Rivero), which won the Goya Award for Best Animation Feature Film in 2017, as well as being nominated in the European Film Awards in the same category. Recientemente ha estrenado el cortometraje La Noche, de Martín Romero, y está inmerso en la fase de desarrollo del largometraje de animación Unicorn Wars, de Alberto Vázquez, y en la producción de los cortometrajes Soy una tumba (Khris Cembe), Loop (Pablo Polledri) y Él corrió junto a su camarada (Genís Rigol).

He recently premiered the short film La Noche , by Martín Romero, and is immersed in the development phase of the animated film Unicorn Wars , by Alberto Vázquez, and in the production of the short films I am a tomb (Khris Cembe), Loop (Pablo Polledri) and He ran with his comrade (Genís Rigol).
