PSICONAUTAS, THE FORGOTTEN CHILDREN

Two teens, Birdboy and Dinky, survive the ecological disaster that devastated their island. Birdboy is deeply affected by the death of his father and eaten away by angst. Dinky decides to take off on a risky journey in the dark and hostile world and invites his bird friend to come along.

ABOUT THE DIRECTORS

Alberto Vázquez: His books have been published in Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and Korea. He has written and directed animated short films such as "Birdboy" and "Blood of Unicorn" based on his comics. His works have been on two occasions nominated for the Goya Awards, winning Goya for Best Animated Short Film in 2012. He has won more than 60 international awards. His first animated feature "Psiconautas, los niños olvidados", co-directed with Pedro Rivero, is based on the graphic novel "Psiconautas" written and drawn by Vazquez himself.

Pedro Rivero: Screenwriter for several animated series for television and for the feature film Goomer (1999), he directed his first feature film in 2007: The Carnivorous Crisis, the first Spanish film made in Flash animation for cinemas, of which he also produced. He was producer, codirector and co-writer of the short film Birdboy. He is President of the Professional Association of Basque Screenwriters between 2002 and 2008. He is also professor of cinematographic script and author of comics and theater texts.
